LMU has chosen TerminalFour to replace Active Content Manager (aka IronPoint) as the university’s enterprise Web content management system. It was a months-long selection process that involved 10 candidate systems, a series of proposals, demonstrations, public input sessions and negotiations. Now the real fun begins.

In cooperation with ITS, the LMU Web, New Media & Design team is mapping out an implementation plan. We will bring an installation of T4 online this fall, and begin training on it internally. Once WNMD and ITS are up to speed, we will spend 2012 migrating existing Web sites from IronPoint to T4, and providing the content providers of those sites the training they need to run them.

This is a big deal in our digital communications world, and will affect everyone from folks on the back end running the systems, to trainers and those on the front line keeping content current.

Please check back here frequently for updates on the project. As the time comes for your specific department to be melded into the Borg, we’ll be reaching out to schedule training.

Until then, stay in touch. You can use the Contact form here to send us a question or comment or just say Hi.
