After over a year of market research and planning, the LMU Brand Development Initiative has entered the creative phase. Faculty and staff can get an early look at creative design concepts at an upcoming set of Brand Development Open Forums.

Attendees will first see and discuss five strategic themes that will help LMU articulate our unique position in the crowded landscape of colleges and universities. The community will then see and comment on new creative concepts, examples of ways we could bring the strategy to life through visual designs and messages.

Feedback from the community on the strategy themes and the creative helps ensure that our new strategy, visuals and messaging are authentic and resonant on campus.

The open forums on March 12 and 13 follow a set of open discussions in January, which presented the results of LMU’s comprehensive brand research study. Nearly 100 faculty and staff members attended. Participants at those sessions asked thoughtful questions about the research and its implications on LMU’s branding efforts.

Feedback has been critical to success at each stage of this complex project. With help from our branding partner agency, SimpsonScarborough, Marketing and Communications will test the creative designs with on- and off-campus audiences using surveys before LMU makes final decisions on creative directions.
