Amanda acts as a strategic partner to the units within Academic Affairs, supporting the development and execution of effective communications strategies, messaging, and projects. She will take the lead in producing and sharing key college-level messages and narratives, while also playing an integral role in strengthening collaboration between Academic Affairs and MarComm.

Before Amanda’s new role, she served as a communications associate for the LMU Frank R. Seaver College of Science and Engineering, where she significantly boosted Seaver’s social media audience reach and engagement across platforms by 53% and incorporated more video content than ever before. She also authored numerous major stories for the LMU Newsroom including “Anna Bargagliotti at LMU Leading the Future of Data-Driven Mathematics Instructor Education” and “LMU Instrumental in Facilitating Climate Dialogue at Green Energy Conference”.

Prior to joining Loyola Marymount University, Amanda worked as a marketing copywriter for the University of Utah and Utah Valley University, where she edited email newsletters and wrote features for campus magazines. She has bylines in Entertainment Weekly and People, as well as local and national news sites, covering a wide range of topics.
