That can take the form of publicizing media-friendly scholarship and research, or linking reporters looking for an expert source with one of our professors. Professor Jeremy Pal, of the Frank R. Seaver College of Science and Engineering, co-authored a paper on climate change that predicted the Persian Gulf region could become too hot for human life within a hundred years. Following its publication in the journal Nature Climate Change, and the distribution of LMU's press release, the paper was covered by numerous media outlets, including the Associated Press, New York Times, Washington Post, Time magazine, USA Today, CNN, and dozens more.
